CATTLE FACE EVICTION

BradentonHearld.com reports that Restoration and Tropical Soda Apple have lead to the eviction of 200-300 herd of cattle.  The cattle are owned by the Manatee County Sheriff's Office which uses the cattle to feed the county inmates and sells the beef to pay the county $100,000 per year.

The restoration plan will involve the hand-planting of 1.7 million pine trees.  Tropical Soda Apple is a noxious weed from South America.

The County Commissioners are reported to issue the eviction orders.

The cows will be finding a new home as there are plans by a company to lease the cattle.
